A Quick Note

Updated: Jan 9

Good Morning Lavenders,

I hope you are doing well and having a great day so far. Today's blog is a short post. We usually have blog posts every Friday, but today's post differs. I want to start by saying it is okay not to be okay, but I hope you are doing well.

I write this blog to bring attention to a couple of things. The first is the ongoing protests going on in my country, Nigeria. For those who are not aware of what is going on in Nigeria. There have been ongoing protests for more than two weeks now. Today marks a week since Black Tuesday: October 20th, 2020. The day Nigeria murdered its citizens. In the past few weeks, the violence, deaths, and bloodshed have been unbearable to watch. The photos, videos, and mistreatment of innocent citizens have been emotionally and mentally draining.

I am writing this blog post to bring and draw more awareness and attention to this protest. Last week, there were burnings across Lagos, Nigeria, as a result of anger and frustration from the youth to the Nigerian Government. The Nigerian Government has failed its people. One of the victims of the burning was a makeup artist and Youtuber; her name is Faari by Sisi Ope.

Faari by Sisi Ope is the brand name for her makeup business and YouTube channel. Last Wednesday, her house and car were burnt down, and all her work and makeup tools were inside her room and vehicle. She is staying safe at a hotel, but she has to build her business from the ground up again after many years of hard work. Alongside this, she is a sickle cell anemia warrior. I am writing to ask her for financial support during this period. If you would like to help, her personal account number is 0153374525. It is Opeoluwa Odunmbaku GTBank. Please, the least you can do is support her financially. Many people might not be concerned because you do not know her or she is not related to you. But the ongoing protests in Nigeria are affecting all. She is a hardworking young woman who has been working for years, building a great name for herself. You can help by giving to her account, sharing this blog post with your family and friends, or praying for her and her family. God Bless You As You Do So.

The second and final thing is Compassion International. Compassion International is an organization that helps provide for children in poverty. If you have read to the end of my blog posts, you probably already know about Compassion International or have heard about Compassion International. Compassion International is accepting Christmas Gifts for these children, and the deadline is October 31st, 2020. Compassion International is an organization that is dear to my heart and that I am very passionate about. Suppose you are interested in giving. You can click on the word: giving. It will direct you to the website. Please, like I said, the least we can ever do for others is to provide for them. Not just money but time, energy, and effort. These children do not have anything for Christmas. I understand we live in trying times, but we are all together. Thank you for your continuous help and support. God Bless You Greatly. If you have any questions or concerns. You can email me at officiallavenderwoman@gmail.com. As always, remember to like, share, comment, and subscribe. See you Friday.
