Dear Reader,
I hope you are doing well and having a great day so far. If you are new here, my name is Toluwanimi Doherty. I am a writer who loves to write. I write about Christ and the things that I am passionate about.
In today's blog post, I will write about something that is due to my heart and lays heavy on my heart.
As you can tell from the title, it is about being a light—a light amid the dark world. A light amid a dark and decaying world, the trends keep worsening, and the patterns are troubling.
There are ten factors and themes that have occurred across this upcoming generation. The central core value in this generation is the need for identity, but many still need to be improved. Everyone wants to belong. The trend is like a virus spreading across the globe.
The Ten Themes observed so far are:
Body Exposure on Social Media
Nose Ring
Multiple Piercings on Ears
Ear Piercings by males
Exposing clothing
Body Exposure and hype from fellow youth
Talking Stage
Latest Technology
Vibing To Secular Music
Partying
Matthew 7:13-14 says, 13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 "For the gate is small, and the narrow way leads to life, and few find it.
The Pathway to Eternal Life is Narrow. These ten themes can be found across the globe in the upcoming generation: teens - late 20s.
Note to this Generation: Be the standard. Be the light. Be the different one. You do not have to follow the trends. Set the trends. There is dignity in modesty. There is dignity in looking at life beyond the present. There is dignity in being Christ-centered. The Bible explains to us in Matthew 7:13-14 that the path to eternal life is narrow. When you follow the trends of the world, you are following a wide path. Living each day with only earth in mind is dangerous.
Colossians 3:2 says, "Set your minds on things above, not earthly things."
Live your life with HEAVEN IN MIND. Matthew 7:22 says, "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?".
Tomorrow is not guaranteed if you die today. Where are you going? Live each day with this question in mind. Your Eternal Life is not solely based on Giving your Life to Christ; you cannot live in sin and expect to make it to HEAVEN. HEAVEN is for those who surrender their lives to CHRIST. Surrendering your life to Christ is:
A. Living Each Day to Glorify Him
B. Living Each Day to Please Him
C. Living Each Day to Give Him Honor
D. Spending Time in His Presence
E. Living At Peace With All Men
F. Living As A Light Amid the Darkness
Remember, we are only on this earth for a certain number of years; the life after this life is what matters, not the life you live today ❤️.
