Happy June 2023.
We made it to the sixth month of the year. God is so great and unique. Forever thankful for His Goodness and Love toward us all.
As 2023 progresses, I want to provide you with a little word about the second half of the year: The title of today's post is NEVER LOSE YOUR JOY.
When you hear the word, the first thing that comes to mind is a person laughing or bursting with happiness.
There is a song that says, Never lose your joy. Joy is a fetcher. Joy is the antidote to life. Life is full of ups and downs, highs and lows, but you have everything if your joy is intact.
Joy gives a man the desire to keep speaking life despite the circumstances around the individual.
As a young woman going through life, I have experienced highs and lows like everyone on earth. There are five tools I have used throughout the years to maintain my hope and faith in Christ and not let life's challenges get to me.
Here are five tools I use to encourage myself through life:
A. Keep GOD at the Center: GOD is the Creator of Life. In a sermon I listened to on the last Sunday of January 2023 by Tony Evans titled "How to Get Your Prayers Answered," one of the significant themes was that pain keeps us in the presence of GOD.
Our pain is what keeps us grounded in GOD. For some, pain is not the answer to purchasing GOD. For others, it explains who GOD could be; for others, it is the ANSWER.
B. Keep Speaking Life: Proverbs 18:21 says, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." We all know that words carry power, and power carries the world's systems. Whether it is the Kingdom of GOD or the enemy or His Agents, power is used to carry the world.
Life lifts. Life tears down. Life encourages. Life remakes. In this concept, your life is your word.
C. Keep Praying and Trusting GOD: "I put my faith in Jesus, He is my anchor, to the ground"—one of the profound lyrics of Promises by Maverick City.
When you trust GOD, you pray for His Guidance and Direction. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight".
When We Trust GOD, He makes everything work together for our good.
D. Keep Envisioning your future: There is nothing like dreaming. There is nothing as powerful as your imagination. As a dreamer, my imagination has given me hope to see beyond my circumstances. Dream BIG, SPEAK BIG, and See How BIG THINGS MANIFEST IN YOUR LIFE.
E. Keep Advancing the Kingdom of GOD: Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek Ye First the Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you." The advancement of the kingdom is the most critical factor in every believer's walk with CHRIST. Our love for GOD is invalid if we do not focus on advancing the KINGDOM.
Please focus on the advancement of the KINGDOM more than you focus on yourself. Our Relationship with GOD is constantly improving.
