How often do you check your phone? Five times a day, ten times a day, twenty times a day, or you do not keep track. I do not keep track but check my phone multiple times daily for different reasons. As often as you check your phone, it should equal the number of times you should have self-check. It is not ideal to check ourselves twenty times daily, but we must check ourselves often.Â
What do I mean by self-check tho? The first thing that came to your mind was checking outwardly—your clothing, outfit, makeup, etc. But I am referring to checking yourself on the inside regularly. Your character, your strengths, your weaknesses. I check myself often; we are all flawed and imperfect in various ways. One person's strength is another person's weakness. Do you observe patterns in your life? Patterns within yourself. Are there flaws within yourself you have not even discovered? Many young females need to understand what self-check is. For some young females, it means checking their weight often, how they look, etc. But self-check is not about your outer features; it is about yourself. As young females, we are fed many facts about ourselves daily. There is always a set of new facts and information coming out daily. From facts about our age and hormones to how we interact with people. New information is always coming our way. But the challenge is filtering through the information and choosing which data to allow into our minds, space, and lives.Â
Self-check is very important. The older we get as young women, we change. We evolve in our thinking, character, and how we see ourselves. We think differently, we believe more maturely, and we begin to see the world in a whole different light and perspective. Sometimes, some of the things others point out to us can easily be identified by ourselves within ourselves. Life is a journey, and we must keep searching for the right experiences and the correct set of people around us and searching within ourselves to discover ourselves and live to our full potential. God has deposited many great things within us. Jeremiah 33:3 says, 'Call me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' Self-check is crucial to excel in this journey of life. As young women, we have so much life ahead of us, and the earlier we embark on this habit, the better it will be for us to make the most of our lives. I want to challenge and encourage you today to make it a habit to check yourself daily; it is essential. Your friends, family, and society do not always have to identify your flaws or imperfections before you change and correct them. Begin today, and you will be the best you very soon.Â
Thank you so much for reading; God Bless You Greatly. Remember to like, comment, share, and subscribe. If you are reading and do not believe in God, I encourage you to have an open heart and mind and give God a chance to prove himself to you. Please say this prayer: "Heavenly Father, I am a sinner and come to you to ask you to forgive me of my terrible sins. Thank you for dying for my sins and bearing the shame on that Cross so I may have eternal life. Today, I confess with my mouth that I have sinned against you, and believe with my whole heart that Jesus is Lord, and God raised Him from the dead on the third day. He is seated on the Heavenly throne and intercedes on my behalf. I give you my heart, soul, and life and pray that I will obey thy Word. In the precious name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen." If you just said that prayer, welcome to the family of believers. Congratulations!! Heaven rejoiced; God is so glad and happy to have you in his family. I will be praying for you and your walk with God. Feel free to contact me on the next steps in this new chapter in your life.
